I wanted to start a personal blog on here, for you to get to know me better and hopefully for me to get to know you better too! So each fortnight I will be posting about my life, things I like and inviting you to join me on Facebook to talk about you! Jen x
This fortnight in my world
It's been a busy couple of weeks over here in snowy, rainy Suffolk!
Neals Yard Independant Consultant
I'm so excited to be a Neals Yard Independent Consultant. I love their products, they suit my skin so much. The smells and the textures are divine and I love that they are organic - it's the perfect combination. The Wild Rose Beauty Balm is my absolute favourite, as well as the White Tea range. So excited to use these on my clients and to host events throughout the new year.
You can book a party through me or order your favourites on my website - delivered straight to your door!
In the kitchen - What have I been cooking and eating?
Well I haven't been doing a lot of cooking this week. Though I've eaten A LOT of hummus and pita sticks.
I was however put in charge of Elfie for the night when my sisters family came to stay and Elfie made some chocolate chip cookie dough which I then helped him to pop in the oven in the morning.
In my house - what's going on in my world of inspiration?
The boyfriend wanted a new series and I wasn't thrilled at the idea of this one - I'm not good with the violence, especially before bed as I find it over stimulating and often has disturbed sleep - but I begrudgingly agreed to watch the first episode and see - next thing it was 1am and we hooked!
I love the idea of someone fighting for justice and the complexities of peoples morals and values. Great acting and a compelling series. Working my way through Series Two now.
I love christmas choral music and the Libera choir is heaven sent. Carol of the Bells moves me to tears every time. The soaring high notes and crisp bell rings bring up goosebumps and send me to another world.
My mentor! I love these short podcasts explaining each card in the Tarot. Informative and easy to digest, just fab for the beginner and expert alike.
Going through my Agatha Raisin collection this fortnight. I love these books and can get through one in a day! The stories are easy to follow and Agatha is a beautifully flawed but ultimately caring curious middle aged women with sass and great taste. Throughout her dabbling in detecting she is also dealing with moving to a small town, her own ageing and love affairs. I really enjoy them. Though I don't see them as beautifully crafted as Miss Marple, they are an enjoyable read.
As a family we have been trying out the Readly magazine app and it's fab! All my favourite magazines on my phone and laptop. Easy to use with some easy read options as well. I've been loving it! Soul and Spirit, Spirit and Destiny, Women's Health, Psychologies and more. It has been a fab addition to our house.
In others words.... quotes, poems and awesome stuff someone else said!
